When you and your child make a bookmark and a card together, you're not just making something for yourselves — you're making something to give. There's a quiet lesson in that. Creativity can be an act of generosity.
What you'll need:
- Office/printer paper
- Construction paper (any color)
- Scissors
- Colored pencils, markers, crayons
- Black fine-liner
- Glue stick
Optional:
- Colored pens
- Ruler
- Office Paper cutter knife
Before you begin:
Ask your child who they want to make it for. Let that person guide the colors and the words they choose to include. It gives the project a direction and makes the finished piece feel meaningful rather than random.
